Seek God
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Who is God?
Seeking God Through the Bible
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

It is the most widely circulated and published book in the world.

We hear it quoted during church services and the average North American household has two of them. Yet it is often left on our shelves unopened.

The Bible is the story of God's restorative love of His creation, made real through Jesus Christ, and realized by the power of His Holy Spirit through ordinary human beings, like us! Bus unless we open it up, begin to read, and discover the beauty of God's Story in our story, we're going to miss out on what God is doing in the world! If you don't have a Bible, please ask for a free one at the Welcome Centre next Sunday.

At the same time, it can be a very intimidating book to start reading. Where do we start? How do I hear what God is trying to say to me through it? How can I actively pursue understanding of and experiences with God, beyond just one-hour-a-week on Sunday morning?

That's what our "24/7 resources" are all about! Each weekly 24/7 resource includes helpful follow-up tools to more deeply explore the weekend message and its implication for our lives. A typical 24/7 resource would include things such as spiritual exercises, reflection questions, daily Scripture readings, book recommendations, articles, Bible studies, and more; whatever we can do to inspire you further in your journey of knowing, loving, and following Jesus Christ.

There are two ways to access the 24/7 resources. You can get each week's resource from the Messages section on our website (just look for the resources links under each message), or you can have them emailed to you.

WAYS TO READ THE BIBLE

Current Message Series

Happy are those who are poor, mourning, hungry, and persecuted. This is not what most of us tend to believe. Then why did Jesus say that people who find themselves in these circumstances are actually blessed, or even fortunate, from God's perspective? Join us as we discover how those on the downside of life find themselves lifted up in the Kingdom of God. "Downside Up" is a nine week series embracing the downside up good news of the Beatitudes.
