Hello Parents!
What a great start to our RIOT season! We have experienced some great teaching on Sunday mornings! Our series in RIOT is the same as Sundays in the service…just in a more youth friendly way, that relates to your kids. We hope that this strategy is helping you engage in further discussions at home. Our midweek events at Glenridge and Rose City Kids have allowed our passionate youth leaders to connect with your kids in a crazy, fun, high energy environment! One of the questions that we have been asking is, “What do we want our Jr Youth to know by the time they go to Senior Youth?” The answer to that question has come through a great curriculum called LIVE, that we have just begun to use during our mid week events. It will take us through 3 years of content, so that by the time your kids have been through RIOT you will end up with a perfect child ;) Our leaders take your kids spiritual lives seriously, engaging them in conversations about their relationship with God and how that influences the way they live. Each evening we debrief how the group time has gone and share where we have seen God at work that night. We are encouraged by their understanding and insight and how God is taking root in the lives of your kids!
