Connecting three historic peace churches, this moderate endurance-level bike ride commemorates conscientious objection to the War of 1812 by visiting newly installed historical markers. Stops include the First Mennonite Church (Vineland), Bertie BIC Church (Fort Erie), and the Quaker site (Port Colborne). The distance is significant for those who do not regularly bike, but is not strenuous.
The total biking time will be approximately 4 to 4.5 hours and for much of the trip we will be on bike paths through the country and along the canal. A shuttle will return bikers to the starting location.

Looks and sounds great! Good exercise, teaching and fellowship!
Just had an interesting discussion with a Christian co-worker re a whole pile of stuff: just-war, killing vs murder, justifyable self defense, Jesus and the Law and so on. I wasn't as prepared or as eloquent as I would have liked. Indeed, I used to hold many of the same positions on these things as he does.
I'd be interested to know Southridge's position on such, and if there's resources that you'd recommend - cool.
Cathy and I are kinda new to Southridge still but are feeling very at home.
Thanks!
