SERVICE: Do We Need God To Be Good?
by Mike Krause on May 27th, 2012

ABOUT THIS SERIES

Dostoyevsky, in his book "The Brothers Karamazov" claimed that, if God does not exist, "everything is permitted". This idea - that God is the only thing keeping us good - is challenged by our everyday experience. We all know good people who are non-religious, and we've probably all encountered religious people who are not very good. So, if being good is the goal, why do we need God?

Earlier this year, we invited you to ask your friends, "If a church were to address any topic or question, what would you like to hear to discussed?" You asked, your friends responded and now we're ready to tackle these tough questions. Throughout April and May, join us as we discuss everything from the reliability of the Bible, the validity of marriage, the war between faith and science, the question of suffering and so much more.
