SERVICE: Is the Bible Reliable?
by Mike Krause on Apr 15th, 2012

ABOUT THIS SERIES

Though the Bible is often called The Word of God, roughly 40 human authors contributed texts over a period of about 1,600 years. It was completed about 100 years after Christ, compiled more than two hundred years later and not translated into English until the 14th century. Given the time that has elapsed since these words were first penned, is it reasonable to trust that the original texts have been accurately preserved? And even if so, how can we be sure the Bible is what it claims to be?

Earlier this year, we invited you to ask your friends, "If a church were to address any topic or question, what would you like to hear to discussed?" You asked, your friends responded and now we're ready to tackle these tough questions. Throughout April and May, join us as we discuss everything from the reliability of the Bible, the validity of marriage, the war between faith and science, the question of suffering and so much more.
