A couple weeks ago I shared about how cool it was to see our Glenridge facility filled with students growing in their faith - young people deepening their love and passion for Christ, making life-trajectory decisions and encouraging one another to live courageously for Christ to a greater degree. I’m so thankful that God gave our students and young adults the gift of ‘Mission 360’ in order for Him to do those things in and among them!
There’s just one question: what about the rest of us?
Well, next Thursday and Friday, August 5-6, God will be up to the same kind of work when we host the ‘Global Leadership Summit’ as a satellite site of the Willow Creek conference. As we’ve said before, this experience serves to envision, equip and encourage Christ-followers to grow deeper in their love for Christ and to live out their faith as difference-makers in any context or circumstance.
And while we will also be hosting believers from churches all across Niagara, many of us at Southridge will have the chance to experience what our students and young adults experienced during ‘Mission 360’ - a chance to deepen our relationships with Jesus, the opportunity to make life-trajectory decisions, and the space in our calendars to encourage one another to live courageously for Christ to a greater degree.
So here’s the thing: if you haven’t registered for The Summit yet but can carve out the two days next week to experience all that God has for us, then e-mail summit@southridge.cc to register. Because while some of us may feel like we missed out on experiencing God do incredible things during ‘Mission 360’, this opportunity is open to everyone and I’d hate for anyone to miss out on what God would want to do during through this experience.
Around Southridge, it’s Summit time! And I hope and pray that you’ll be there!
