At Southridge we want the form of our community to follow the function of the vision, mission and model that God has given us.
So we’ve organized ourselves into departments that each foster one aspect of the lifestyle of full devotion to Christ, through each of our primary programs:
- Inspiration Department: Sunday Services
- Connection Department: Small Groups
- Action Department: Anchor Causes
We also have an Operations Department that provides all of the infrastructural support for these areas of ministry.
Each of these departments consists of a number of ministry teams. These teams are each quarterbacked by team leaders who, in turn, form a departmental team. The leaders of each of these departmental teams comprise the Leadership Team quarterbacked by our Lead Pastor.
All of this leadership is then overseen and held accountable by a Board of Elders who play the role of governance, working closely with the Lead Pastor to direct and protect the leadership provided by each Ministry Team and Department.
Ultimately, all of these teams work together to not only deliver church programs that express and encourage different dimensions of a fully-devoted lifestyle; they unite to become the restorative force God desires to be in and through us.
Ephesians 4 compares the Church to a body, and says in verse 16 that, “As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” [NLT]. And ultimately, that’s what we’re hoping our ministry structure delivers.
